Utilizando la sección 14 de la Ley de Orden Público, la Policía Metropolitana prohibió efectivamente las protestas en todo Londres.

La policía británica prohibió las protestas del grupo ambientalista Extinction Rebellion. Representantes del grupo se mostraron sorprendidos y preocupados ante la drástica medida tomada e indicaron que el acto es una erosión de la democracia.
